I highly recommend taking a Nepali language course with the Centre for Language and Cross-Culture Training. I took the four-week beginner course before conducting research in a remote region of Nepal. I learned so much more than I expected to learn in that time and I am confident that this experience will help me significantly when liaising with colleagues and meeting community members. I really enjoyed Rekha’s style of teaching – she put a lot of effort in and prepared various activities which made the lessons very engaging and enjoyable. The course workbook is brilliant, and I know I will continue to refer to it. Alongside language skills I learnt a great deal about Nepali culture and customs too which has been extremely useful. The course was fantastic value for money, and I would not hesitate to work with the center again in the future.
